The posture which is shown with this “mudra” represents the summoning of heaven to witness Buddha’s enlightenment. The wholesome meditative practice in front of the image of the Buddha helps you to identify paramount mental qualities: "serenity" or "tranquility" and "insight." Serenity composes, unifies, steadies and concentrates the mind and insight enables one to explore, see and discern through phenomena or events in life. The blessing Buddha is welcoming every spirit that wants to be freed from the constraints of the world by suppressing the hindrances, gaining insight and liberating wisdom.
